First thing I did was go to Kiva Beach at Lake Tahoe. No pics. to share right now, but if you do a google search you'll get an idea. Kiva Beach is one of the few free beaches to go to at Lake Tahoe. It's also called the pet friendly beach since pets are allowed. It was very nice beach and didn't see any dog crap if your wondering. The water temp. was about 68F, but I went in because I wanted to rinse off. At first there are a lot of rocks near shore; as you get further out it's a nice sandy floor.
Interesting site on Tahoe: http://tahoe.usgs.gov/facts.html
After the beach I went to K-Mart to pick up a few things. One being a gallon size spring water, which I lost while traveling back to camp.
After getting back to camp, I went to talk to Tim who was on a cbr1000. A cool guy and friendly.
Now weird things happen:
It rains, which I wasn't prepared for. I scrambled to get my rain fly on my tent and my stuff packed up so my belongings stay dry.
Then a park ranger chats with me about my bike and where it's parked. Yeah, next to my tent. Supposedly you can't park it like I did, it has to be near everyone elses vehicles. I guess to be fair, no i'm kidding. You really don't have a choice for a car, but a bike you kind of do, and that's where the park rangers can get you. Anyways, he was cool with it and so I left it. He did say I had to push it out when I left, which I thought he was kidding, but wasn't. Oh i'll do that. No I won't silly. I can't anyways.
