Day 10 July 5

I didn't do a whole lot today except for preping for the rest of my trip and running in town to get dinner. I was going to eat at the hotel, but they wanted $25.00 per person. I said forget it, and I went outside the park on the southside and found a good place for some food.

Yosemite recap...

Should you go? Yes, once in your life. If I was close by I would go more, but it's not somewhere where I would go for a special trip. Maybe I would if it was in the spring since the waterfalls would be more extravagant.

Everything in the park is way over priced. Gas was $5.00 per gal. for 87. A little sandwich was $7.00. BBQ at a hotel was $25.00 per person. I think you get the point.  If you don't camp in the Valley, which I didn't, everything is far away. I didn't because it's more per night and I think all the spots were taken. Since food was far, I ate many of my freeze dried foods.

I enjoyed all the hiking. I seen too many people who push themselves way too far. I wanted to walk the next day, so I didn't.

  1. It is a shame how places take advantage of people knowing that they need to eat , sleep and have fuel. How much food do you have with you and what type? Are you drinking bottled water all the time or faucet water? This is so interesting. The kids can't believe this is your blog. Makes me want to be younger (or healthier) so I could do something like this. I know it isnt easy but there is no feeling like riding your bike on the open road. The freedom you must be feeling now. I'm keeping you in my prayers and you are always in my heart.

    1. I really don't carry any food. Maybe some junk food, but that's about it. I normally drink city or well water. Glad your enjoying my blog. :)
