Today was a long day. I rode 433 miles from mid KS to somewhere close to Denver, CO. Along the way I got hit in the shoulder with a bird <--- that almost made me crap my pants. I'll be near Denver for a few days to go exploring, and might end up visiting a relative closeby unless my sinus thing doesn't resolve itself.
This page is for my family, friends, and fans who want to follow me as I travel across U.S. and Canada. I will put any pre-planning preparations, tips, and other useful information for anyone who wants to do something like this. If your just an enthusiast of traveling, then you will probably enjoy this blog. The main reason for this trip is to enjoy life while being young, and to celebrate the end of my four years of college. Please leave any comments or questions you may have.

Omg!!!!!!! ....what kind of bird was it and r u ok? Love u and God be with u
ReplyDeleteDidn't hurt one bit. I have shoulder pads in my jacket and where the bird hit me was right on the edge of the pad.It was a ugly grey bird. No clue what kind. There were tons of them flying around in KS. It was a good size bird. Pretty crazy.
DeleteBird strikes - heck, any animal strike at all - on a motorcycle are really scary. It's not like in a car! Fortunately I've never hit anything larger than a bee! I hope Tweety just flew away wondering "what the heck kind of Hawk was that?"
ReplyDeleteThank God for the Motorcycle Gear.....I bet that bird was in shock for awhile.....
